We know that visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. We want to help make your first experience at the Tijeras Community Church a great one!

WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT TIJERAS CHURCH?

Worship gatherings at the Community Church of Tijeras are exciting, casual, and inspiring. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

HOW LONG IS A TIJERAS COMMUNITY CHURCH WORSHIP GATHERING?
​
Our church family meets to worship at 10:30 am on Sundays. If you are running late, come on anyway - it's that kind of environment. Each worship will be about 60 minutes in length. Pastor Lopez will collect prayers from the group and lead a combined prayer for the requests. Carla VB Terwilliger will lead the singing with uplifting hymns and contemporary Christian music.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Children are cherished members of our congregation, and we joyfully welcome them to worship alongside their parents. In our church, families stay together during our worship services, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every member, young and old, can grow in faith together.

WHAT IS THE MUSIC LIKE AT THE TIJERAS COMMUNITY CHURCH?
​
Carla VB Terwilliger, the Music Director, comes from a family of Gospel-singers and will bring African music from her time the Peace Corps and music from her ministry experience in California as well as native music from her missions' experience in support of the Navajo Nation. Outreach events will use music and family entertainment to introduce people to the church.
